Learning What Life Is Really About: Visits With Mimi.

This past weekend Sam's mom and two Aunts, which he hasn't seen in close to 30 years, came to visit us for the weekend. It has been a big change moving from Berkeley are where Mimi lived less than a mile away to now living 6 hours away. Mimi was greeted by a smiling Omid who definitely recognized her but with a look of disbelief that she was really there. The weekend was full of food, which for Omid recently is a big change, playing, and meeting new people/friends. We spent so much time just enjoying Omid, talking about how he has changed, and did I mention food. We were so glad they came, sad to see them leave, but happy knowing we would be back with them up north very soon for Thanksgiving (more food).
